
Indonesia: Celebrating a Decade of Reduced Deforestation, and to Achieving FOLU Net Sink 2030, in the World’s Third-Largest Rainforest
Join us to celebrate a decade of declining deforestation in Indonesia; a discussion on how the international community can support these achievements going forward; and on how these successes might read across to the other great global rainforests. Speakers from the Government of Indonesia, local NGOs and global partners will discuss how the international community can support Indonesia’s continued success to 2030 and beyond.
A keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Ir. Siti Nurbaya, Minister for Environment and Forestry, Republic of Indonesia, following a welcome address from Razan Al Mubarak, President of IUCN and UN Climate Change High Level Champion. The event will be chaired by Lord Zac Goldsmith, Senior Fellow at the Bezos Earth Fund.
